This New Moon divination is coming through in the depths of the lunation, just before it is new at 3:44pm eastern time on Thursday, May 25. The energy of this New Moon has been swirling, potent, cosmic; calling in deep work, and union with the star seeds within us. I am soaked in stars and not ready to come back to earth yet!
The Goddess Isis has come forward for our divination and she is at once calling us home to her cosmic womb while encouraging us to birth ourselves gloriously over and over. The duality of the messages and energy for the Gemini moon corresponds to the twin energy of the sign. Gemini is like lightning; striking here, there, flashing its quick, curious energy through multiple levels of consciousness. This can be an amazing inspiration and catalyst, but it also requires time to absorb the flashes of insight or we end up running a bit mad chasing the next flash. It may be that for this New Moon, you simply receive. See where the illumination occurs, acknowledge the lighting strikes and where they are happening for later exploration and understanding.
Remember, Gemini is a mutable air sign and ruled by our beloved quick-strike king, Mercury. Since this moon has no planetary aspects, the mercurial energy of Gemini is unhindered in its activation of mental and mystical AHA moments. While it is an un-aspected lunation from a planetary standpoint, there are some interesting influences occurring.
The stormy fixed star cluster of the Hyades are bringing an intensity to the Gemini New Moon that may include transformative shadow work, remembrance of past lives that impact your now, and the excavation of secrets that have been poisoning your psyche. The tragedy in Manchester is an example of potential Hyades influence.
Between 4 and 8 degrees Gemini Sign are perhaps the most culturally significant groups of stars in Heaven. The Hyades star cluster is a group of six stars situated on the face of the Bull, Taurus Constellation.
The Hyades have the nature of Saturn and Mercury. Robson said they give tears, sudden events, violence, fierceness, poisoning and contradictions of fortune.
The Hyades reputation for tears and sorrow is linked to their association with water. They are also called the Rainy Stars and foretell rain and storms for farmers and sailors.
The Saturn-Mercury nature can bring negative thinking and a tendency toward depression. However, discipline and authority are assets in times of crisis and fear such as natural disasters. Astrology King
Should this intensity makes us anxious about the New Moon? Absolutely not. Acknowledging the catalyzing stream of consciousness that is this particular moon gives us the opportunity to dip into that stream where and when we will. We can choose our moments or simply choose to witness the progression of energies. Knowledge is power and Gemini’s airy punch brings both in spades!
And then there was Isis. Birthing this divination has been a divine tempest as Gemini mingled with my own air energies and made me want to just stay in bed, and think, receive. Isis came bathed in stars. As a star Goddess, Isis is the star Sirius, called Sothis and Sopdet in ancient days. The heliacal rising of Sirius occurs in midsummer (approximately July 20 this year in Egypt) and heralds the inundation of the Nile, the return of new life and fertility to the land – Isis rising and restoring life to her people. Approximately 70 days before the rising, Sirius disappears from the sky. Isis hides her face and turns inward to focus on gathering her energies for birth, new life, and the annual inundation. This occurred right after our last Full Moon.
From the moment that I drew her card from the Goddess box, she was whispering stories and promises of the sanctuary of her cosmic womb, the deep nourishment of her Akashic body, and the creative potential of her Self as void. Steeped in tears of joy and sorrow, Isis brings us reminders of the profound gifts that are available to us within the cycle of life. She invites us to be in each moment, especially the difficult ones, because it is in that being-ness that we celebrate what it is to be human made in the image of the Gods. Our personal myths are echoes of divine stories written individually on each of our souls. By uniting with Goddess, with Isis, she breathes remembrance into us, uniting sacred and mundane, past and present, source and soul.
I have been carrying two stones around with me for Isis for the past few days – an elestial lithium quartz and a black amethyst record keeper. Both have deep connections to the Akashic, the Goddess’ body as memory, and both enhance deep soul work and the ability to bring back what was witnessed on inner journeys.
And then there was the Shaman. Standing patiently, head slightly tilted, watching me tumbling through the stars with Isis. He would poke his staff into the ground here and there, drawing circles and other shapes and then blow them away just like stardust. He stood on an empty stretch of land that seemed to be right on the edge of the earth with the horizon in a forever twilight glow that deepened into an indigo arch above his head.
I sat with my mookaite skull to see what his message was for our divination. Our gazes met and then he opened his mouth and drank the stars.
I was riveted in my meditation. A cosmic rhino lumbered past from a dream a few weeks ago. I heard Isis laughing. The Shaman smiled and then leaned forward and kissed my third eye.
Witness. See. Believe. Remember. Know. Surrender. You are the stars.
The Shaman comes to guide us, to show us the way. To patiently wait on the edge of the Universe where we may embark on a journey to the cosmic womb of Goddess. He is a steady presence and a holy catalyst that can add a boost of courage for the leap of faith required for inner workings. And when we get all tangled up in the blessed streams of the stars? He can scoop us out and ground us back to the here and now.
This, my Loves, has been my Gemini New Moon. What’s next? I can’t wait to “see”!
