We begin the waxing cycle, the bring cycle and build again in our monthly rhythms. The New Moon is a potent time of planting ~ an opportunity to spread the seeds of our heart’s desires to work into manifestation in the way of women, the lunar way.
Further powering this New Moon in Virgo is the Sun which has just moved into Virgo … the sign of the Virgin. Throw out your archaic interpretations of “virgin” – in Virgo we are recognizing Sovereign Women – She Who is Whole Within HerSelf. This moon is particularly powerful for women who are seeking the libertation of their True Selves … perhaps what has been the Secret Self. Take Virgo’s hand – She is great at getting us precisely where we need to go and this Moon is ALL about that.
Taking time for Organic Self Care in the New Moon is a necessity. Since the Full Moon earlier in August, energies have been in a release cycle and the planetary energies have been driving that along, culminating in a Mars-Saturn conjunction in Scorpio – INTENSE.
What has been shed in the past few weeks? Where have you felt like you were up against a wall? What (or who) are you ready to release?
This New Moon is about breaking though and that is really hard work. It requires an extra focus on our Selves … more rest, more time for reflection, activities that bring us joy and wholeness. My last few weeks have defined intense in a deeply spiritual way. I recently made a very formal commitment to a path that I am still hugging a bit close, but will be sharing in bits as I balance all of these magnificent energies. For me, an obstacle of many years was released, surprises abounded, and I am coming home to my Self again. JOY. Blessings. Gratitude.
